Mississippi River Waterfowl Hunt Packages
Ridge and River Running Outfitters big water hunts take place on the Upper Mississippi Wildlife Refuge, specifically Pool 9 of the Mississippi River. The Mississippi River offers incredible scenery with abundant wildlife. The Mississippi River is one of the major waterfowl flyways. We specialize in Canvasbacks hunting, “The King of Ducks”. At times up to 75% of the continental Canvasback population migrate the river. Redheads, Buffleheads, Ringnecks, and Goldeneyes are among other diving ducks who call the river home for a period. Wood Ducks, Green Wing Teal, Blue Wing Teal, Mallards, Gadwalls, and Wigeon also call the river home for a time along with Canada Geese. Tundra swans, pelicans, and other migrating birds also utilize the river during their fall journey. An incredible population of Bald Eagles call the river home.
